Umi Sushi

We called for lunch delivery so I've no idea which outlet the sushi came from. I guess it's probably AMK hub since it's one of the closest distance from my work. I didn't look at the receipt since I wasn't the one paying. Wahahahahaaaa.....

I always wanted to try umi sushi but always forgot about it because it's neither well advertised nor overly popular. Finally, I tried it today and it's tasty! The sushi was very fresh and the rice suited me because the vinegar taste was not too strong. Awesome!

Of all the dishes we had, I only like the first dish - the duck. LOL. I like to eat ducks more than chickens and I don't know why some people don't like the duck smell. Omg! It's so nice please.

My colleagues told me the dessert is called guey hua gao or something like that. Weird jelly to me. I don't like jelly!

Overall, there's nothing that special about Dian Xiao Er to me maybe cos we just had simple standard chinese food.

The joy of teaching tuition even tho it's labour day. Thank you kid for the doraemon drawing for me!

Kway Chap. We were famished and ordered a huge plate of duck and chicken. Very delicious sauce and meaty combo, along with a big hot bowl of soft kway. UPz and filling brunch/lunch from a neighbourhood area. 8/10.

Call + 65 6363 0123 in case you can't find it. It's a very small shop amongst the stretch of neighbourhood shops, so you might miss it easily like how I did. It looks a bit run down too.

I happened to be in the vicinity so I popped by to check it out. I wanted to try the apple pies but they were sold out. I didn't want to order and collect the next day because I don't live a walking distance from Baker's Creations. I gave it a miss. Since I was already there, I randomly bought a chocolate thingy for $1.30, which I don't know its name cos there's neither labels on it nor any in the shop. There's no chocolate taste at all. It's just a very sweet sticky food which looks presentable but highly disappointing to me. Can someone enlighten me what's that?! Like some sweet mooncake chocolate colour paste. =/

I wanted to buy a slice of the carrot cake because it looks good. Sadly, the staff told me there's no sliced one left so they won't cut the whole cake up unless I wanted to buy more. What?! I naturally asked how many do I need to buy and she just questioned me back how many am I planning to buy? Hey girl, it's my first visit, I wanted a slice, you said no. Now, I asked how many should I buy and you asked me back how many I wanna buy? Oh my! Sigh. I wish you could be more flexible. You could have earned my $3.80 and satisfied me if I could just get hold of one slice of the carrot cake. So disappointed.

I must have really come at the wrong-est timing or met an inflexible staff who just refused to sell me that one slice of $3.80 carrot cake. So disappointed.

I won't be back unless I happened to walk past the shop and if there's apple pies or SLICED carrot cakes I'm still willing to try. Sigh! But chances are, I won't walk past the shop at all since I ain't living in the vicinity remember?

Thankfully, my day was cheered up with a sneak preview of my birthday gift due to me in about two months time. Can't wait to see the completed version!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the sweetest gestures.

My Surprise Farewell Gift

It was such a pleasant surprise. Thank you everybody! Thank you for making my time here like a fairytale. I was like a princess, I couldn't even feel I was working. It was just laughter, go buy breakfast, go long lunch, go teabreak anytime, go home on time. Wow. Add a whole lot of chatting and surfing net in between. Minus all the stinky smoke smell. I was still happy overall and glad to have met such friendly friends for life, I hope. Goodbye, take care and keep in touch!

Stinky Place

I left the stinky place halfway in the afternoon when the stench came. Couldn't be bothered anymore. Feels so good to be home on a weekday afternoon!

It's just today that you went down to smoke cos winson probably psycho-ed you. Lol. With no kaki 2mr, I got a feeling (and most likely it's gonna be right) that you will be back to your oldself stinking the office tomorrow.

I've finally thrown in my letter because the smoke today was real stinky. I was just being honest, and it in fact is the truth I'm leaving because I can't stand the smoke stench. I don't have risk pay and I should stop torturing myself and inhale all your secondhand smoke right? I think understanding readers would agree with my decision. And to my surprise, and indeed a big surprise, even my HR and finance manager also leaving, for real.

Wow. I feel much better and even more firm about my rightfully made decision. Those who stayed really could tolerate the smelly office, while those who go are just sparing a thought for their health and lungs. Not a pity, at least I enjoyed all the carefreeness here, except the smoke.

I made a few cute/able to get along colleagues too. Keep in touch! And no, I doubt I'm letting anyone know I'm leaving. It's not a big deal. Don't let them have a big hooha. Lol. I always come and go quietly. I think I feel better that way.

By the way, da gu flew away to auzzie tdy! And I want to go Changi Airport to shop like real soon. Seems like got LOTS OF THINGS!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN! I wanna go shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am leaving my job and back to my bummer's life.

Consideration

It's like the period of time when I am thinking of when to quit my job again. I didn't want to. Lol. But I can't tolerate the smoking environment. So I am more or less decided, letter's prepared. I will give soon. Like within these days. Literally. Lol. I am not a job hopper. I met a company with ok to get along people, yes, ok bosses but, they just have to smoke. It spoils all.

So what does a cigg have? Nicotine? And what? I hate the smell in the office whenever the bosses smoke. Is there a solution? Lol. I love the freedom and carefreeness of the job, but in such environment, I really don't know if I should continue here. Sigh.. finally found something that seems carefree and yet I met smokers in air con room.
