Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant (Tampines One)

I was at Tampines Mall for the Tampines Hokkaido Fair. WoW I tried so many snacks, udon, biscuits, nuts, chocolates, cheesecakes, ice creams, scallop rice, dried fishes, vege, etc. Savoury please! I feel like visiting it over and over again. =x

Someone please bring me there again to mass eat samples please. LOL.

Anyway, lunch was over at Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant (Tampines One).

It was a so-so place. No good ambience (noisy and crowded), no good food (just typical taste).

They offer lunch promotions so the prices are still reasonable given its air-conditioned place + 10% service charge + 7% GST charge. Bahhhhhh....... eating is all about spending $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Lol.

I was overwhelmed with the number of menus available. There were so many other menus given to me that I do not know which one I should look at. LOL.

The soup noodles with shredded pork and preserved vegetables. It's actually thick mee sua..... light bowl of lunch + homely feel. It's a big bowl and it's advertised at $4.30++ (well basically you pay $5 in total after 17%). Very reasonable, food court prices are also around this range nowadays anyway. Nothing special about it, just hot soupy food to warm your stomach!

The wrapped fish in egg with shanghai style vegetable rice. What a long name for this dish. This costs $4.80++ (that's $5.60 after 17%). Still reasonable for its big portion of fresh fried fish accompanied by one small cauliflower, rice and some corns. Gahhhhh....... it's just so-so, not like anything especially flavourful and worthy of remembering.

I wouldn't return here specially for the food. Too common taste. But if the food courts are crowded, no harm trying Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant if you've never tried before. :)
