I often hear my yishun friends tell me about Blk 123 Kuay Chap. Got so nice meh? My verdict: It's "Okay lah..."
First, they're slow. Waiting time: minimum 10 to 20 minutes. Actually there're about 4 to 5 people mending the stall but only one of them is slowly chopping the food....... maybe that explains the long wait.
The kuay was quite white, i.e. more appetising compared to dirty yellowish looking kuay that's soaked too long =P As for the soup, it tasted plain. 3.5/5
Ingredients were generally fresh + good mix. Not overly WoW but still good to eat. 3/5
The best thing: It's cheap. Around $3.50 per person for a huge bowl of kuay + lots of ingredients. I believe that's a reason why it's so populated.
I love kuay chap and I miss serangoon's kuay chap! :(
